The term “Yay Self!” was created by my son Evan, who at the early age of 18 months used it to congratulate himself for every little accomplishment. As a designer working within an industry always eager to brand unique and clever phrases, I took the liberty of “borrowing” Evan’s trademark to create fun t-shirts that celebrate the individuality of our children.

By utilizing this phrase to create custom t-shirt designs, my hope is to draw attention to unique vocabulary words that can be used to define a child’s personality, habit, silly behavior, etc. My mission is to design clothing that draws attention to these individual traits promoting literary skills and communication when viewers try to read, pronounce, spell and learn about new words that are not typically a part of everyday living.
